Job Summary
Plan, analyze, and design urban hydraulic systems including potable water distribution, wastewater collection, and stormwater drainage. Complete hydrologic and hydraulic modelling of complex urban drainage systems using state-of-the-art software. Contribute to the learning and progression of artificial intelligence and automation in the industry. Prepare engineering reports, documents, and figures while performing quality management to ensure procedures are followed. Coordinate CAD design technologists and mentor junior staff in water, wastewater, and stormwater systems. Develop and maintain ongoing client relationships and complete and submit proposals. This role sits within the Municipal Infrastructure Planning Team in Burnaby, BC, supporting infrastructure delivery across Western Canada.
Required Qualifications
- P.Eng. designation with EGBC registration
- Minimum of 4-6 years of related experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong skills in modelling and planning in water, wastewater or stormwater
- Experience with hydraulic modelling software such as InfoWorks ICM, InfoWater Pro, AquaTwin Water/Sewer, MIKE URBAN/Mike +, WaterCAD, PCSWMM, or HECRAS
- Familiarity with Civil 3D and ArcGIS Pro
- Experience in consulting engineering environment
- Business development success
- The ability to effectively liaise with clients
