Job Summary
The Municipal Inspector position involves monitoring and controlling the progress of work on municipal projects, providing administrative support, preparing detailed reports, and maintaining communication with clients regarding project status and issues. Candidates must have at least 5+ years of relevant site inspection experience and a thorough understanding of local and provincial building codes. Familiarity with municipal infrastructure projects, strong problem-solving abilities, and superior communication skills are essential. The role requires a valid MTO Class 'G' driver's license and certifications including P.Eng with PEO. Candidates will also have the opportunity to mentor junior team members.
Required Qualifications
- A minimum of 5+ years of proven experience in a Site Inspection role
- Working knowledge of local, and provincial building codes
- Experience with working on linear municipal infrastructure projects (roads, sewers)
- MTO Class 'G' driver's license in good standing
- Strong record keeping and problem-solving abilities
- Superior written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of Canadian Contract Law including the Construction Lien Act
Desired Qualifications

- Confined Space Entry
- Working at Heights
- Survey knowledge using total station and GPS technology
- Strong MS Office and AutoCAD Civil 3D skills
