Job Summary
Assist Senior Engineers with designing civil systems for municipal water, wastewater, and drainage conveyance facilities while performing construction inspections and contract administration. Prepare documentation, design reports, and construction cost estimates, and support proposal preparation, contract negotiation, and coordination with regulatory agencies. Execute detailed engineering assignments involving calculations, data correlation, and problem-solving under moderate supervision, providing guidance to entry-level engineers. Perform work within agreed budgets and schedules, focusing on municipal infrastructure in the Calgary office.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent)
- 4+ years of related experience with civil engineering, design, construction inspection, and contract administration
- Experience with municipal water, wastewater and/or stormwater conveyance and pumping infrastructure
- Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, contractors and clients
- Comfortable working in a multi-disciplinary environment
- Experience in the condition assessment of municipal infrastructure
- Experience in proposal writing and job scoping
