Job Summary
OpsTech Engineer will support facilities engineering in production assets with work location in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India. Key responsibilities include developing understanding of process systems, integrating systems, and collaborating with multi-discipline teams to build facility surveillance plans; performing real-time process surveillance monitoring, optimization, remote troubleshooting, and reporting; using analytical tools for data-driven analysis; assessing downtime and mass balance; identifying and addressing facility constraints; troubleshooting and optimizing equipment/processes (including heat exchangers, separators, pumps/compression units, fractionation units, acid gas treatment units, water treatment, refrigeration, and gas liquefaction units, process safety systems, and process control systems); conducting root cause analyses; delivering engineering packages for procurement and construction; supporting Management of Change for modifications; identifying capacity and reliability improvements; developing and modifying process simulation models; coaching and mentoring early career engineers; and supporting commissioning/start-up/turnaround activities. About You qualifications include a Bachelor’s in chemical/petroleum or mechanical engineering, 5 years in relevant oil and gas roles, strong process design and safety standards knowledge, English communication, proficiency with Microsoft Office and process tools (Aspen Hysys, HTRI, PRO-II), flexibility for shifts and travel, and legal eligibility to work in India.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in chemical/petroleum or mechanical engineering from a recognized university
- Minimum of 5 years of work experience within the oil and gas industry (Upstream, Refining, or Petrochemical) in Process Engineering, Operations Support or Technical Services role(s)
- Experience and competency in various oil and Gas Industry Process Design and Process Safety standards.
- Strong interpersonal skills and written/verbal communication skills in English
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of software program
- Willing to work in shifts (1.30 PM – 10.30 PM IST) or (9:00 AM -6:00 PM IST)
- Tool proficiency: Aspen Hysys/HTRI/PRO-II
- Strong organizational, planning/coordination, interface, and technical judgment skills
- Demonstrated experience and proficiency in mentoring early career process engineers
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams
- Willing to work full-time from Bengaluru based office location
- Willing to travel nationally and/or internationally as required
- Should be legally authorized to work in India
