Job Summary
Inspect and cut specific quantities of product from racks, placing items on meat conveyors or into formed pockets of film on packaging machines. Sort ends, pieces, and rework product while performing blow-up leaker and O2 checks on the 11-pound line. Move ham patties logs up to 30 pounds, trim tar, and set up, operate, and tear down all slicing, dicing, and labeling equipment. Package sliced and diced products, process random cuts, and complete general housekeeping duties. Perform all job rotations and paperwork functions as assigned by management. Work the 3rd shift in a cold environment with physical requirements including lifting up to 30 pounds and standing for up to 10 hours.
Required Qualifications
- Ability and willingness to perform basic math functions (i.e.: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
- Ability and willingness to work overtime and/or weekends as needed
- Ability and willingness to complete all paperwork and SAP functions
- Must be willing and able to push/pull/lift with arms below waist/at shoulder/above shoulder level minimum of 30 pounds frequently
- Must be willing and able to perform strenuous flex/grip with wrist/hands frequently
- Must be willing and able to stand/walk/climb/bend for up to 10 hours
- Must be willing and able to distinguish basic shades and colors
- Must be willing and able to work in wet conditions and cold temperatures at 35 degrees
- Must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation
- Must be able to complete a background check
