Job Summary
Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer in Boston will diagnose and resolve faults on production machinery across automation, electrical and mechanical domains. Responsibilities include fault diagnosis, escalation of maintenance issues, detailed reporting via SAP/CMMS, driving continuous improvement through preventative maintenance, and performing risk assessments with permit-to-work/method statements for safe task execution. The ideal candidate holds NVQ Level 3 (Electrical and Mechanical) as a minimum, has experience in a manufacturing environment, and is proficient with automation PLCs, fault finding/diagnostics, and CMMS; SAP experience is preferred. The role emphasizes safety, reporting, and ongoing development within Metsä Group's regenerative, sustainable operations.
Required Qualifications
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Electrical Engineering
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering
- Experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience with automation PLCs
- Fault finding and diagnostics
- Knowledge of Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
- SAP experience preferred
- Ability to perform risk assessment and permit to work and method statements for safe execution of maintenance tasks
