Job Summary
Coordinate construction sites for civil, electrical, and mechanical projects across the Lower Mainland, ensuring work, materials, and costs meet BC Hydro expectations. Inspect substations, transmission lines, and hydroelectric equipment while prioritizing site safety through Safe Work Observations and compliance with OSH standards. Conduct site testing, surveying, and estimating activities using engineering drawings, and respond to internal and third-party inquiries. Manage contract and work order administration by collaborating with contractors and internal services to maintain project timelines. Requires valid BC Driver License, electrical background, and willingness to travel for adverse conditions.
Required Qualifications
- Valid BC Driver License
- Willingness to travel
- Minimum seven (7) years of construction experience or equivalent
- Electrical background, Electrician, PLT, CPC Tech or electrical engineering background
- Diploma in Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical Technology from an Institute of Technology or relevant trades, apprenticeship courses, or equivalent
- Training in contract law
- Excellent working knowledge of safety standards and regulations such as Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) Standards and WorkSafe Regulations
- Advanced English skills for professional environment, written and spoken
