Job Summary
Serve as the second producer on all studio and field shoots, managing pre-production logistics, location coordination, releases, permits, and B-camera operation as needed. Write, produce, and deliver 90-second PSAs in bilingual EN/ES versions, maintaining a rotation of 12 per cycle, while producing Philadelphia Minute interstitials in batches of 12 per quarter. Cut and deliver social-first content including episode clips, promos, and platform-specific versions for Instagram, Facebook, YouTube Shorts, and LinkedIn. Manage YouTube publishing support for government hearings and support OTT content organization in TelVue Connect. Maintain the media asset library by ingesting, logging, tagging, and archiving all field and studio footage. Provide surge support for live government hearing coverage as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Versatile producing skills across field, studio, and digital formats
- Comfortable switching between broadcast and social-native storytelling in the same day
- Strong short-form editing (Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve) and motion-graphics template literacy
- Fluency in platform-specific best practices (aspect ratios, captions/burn-ins, hooks, accessibility) for Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, and LinkedIn
- Solid camera and audio fundamentals for B-camera and run-and-gun work
- Highly organized with strong asset-management discipline
- Bachelor's degree in media production, communications, journalism, or related field — or equivalent experience
- Minimum 3 years of professional video production experience, including demonstrable social/digital video work
- Portfolio demonstrating both broadcast-length and short-form/social work
- Municipal, PEG, news, or nonprofit media experience
- Must be a city of Philadelphia resident within six months of hire
Desired Qualifications
- Spanish-language proficiency a plus, supporting bilingual PSA production
