Job Summary
Operate imaging equipment to perform X-Ray, CT, and DEXA procedures in outpatient, inpatient, emergency, and operating room settings. Review medical records for patient history, transfer patients to imaging tables, and position them according to protocol while monitoring well-being and addressing discomfort. Guide patients through pre-exam, exam, and post-exam steps, answering questions and managing schedules to accommodate add-on patients. Exercise sound judgment on image quality, minimize radiation doses using ALARA principles, and maintain room cleanliness and supply stock. Mentor radiology students through hands-on learning and feedback while adhering to professional standards, hospital policies, and federal requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Associates Degree- Radiology Technology or equivalent
- Registered with the ARRT with advanced certification(s) in CT or Bone Density
- Licensed by the Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy in the State of New Hampshire
- Radiographer NH (MIRT1060) OR Radiation Therapist NH (MIRT1057) OR Medical Imaging/Rad Ther - NH (MIRT1001)
- (BLS) Basic Life Support
- American Registry of Radiology Technologists (ARRT)
