Job Summary
Perform high-quality radiologic examinations across CT, MRI, and mammography modalities for patients ranging from neonates to geriatrics. Operate imaging equipment following radiation safety guidelines and position patients accurately using appropriate immobilization devices. Explain procedures to patients and ensure their competence before imaging. Produce images for physician interpretation and provide radiographic support across hospital areas as needed. Maintain ARRT, state license, BLS, and other certifications proactively. Work 36 weekly hours from 7 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. Saturday through Monday.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited school of radiologic technology
- One year of radiologic experience
- Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), Computed Tomography
- Licensed by the South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association
- Must be able to produce very high-quality special imaging with little supervision
- Must be able to function effectively in a team-oriented environment
- Must be familiar with age specific criteria
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Ability to perform job functions while standing
- Ability to perform job functions while sitting
- Ability to perform job functions while walking
- Ability to climb stairs
- Ability to work indoors
- Ability to work from elevated areas
- Ability to work in confined/cramped spaces
- Ability to perform job functions from kneeling positions
- Ability to bend at the waist

- Ability to lift/lower objects 15 lbs. from/to floor from/to 36 inches unassisted
- Ability to lift from 36 inches to overhead 15 lbs.
- Ability to maintain 20/40 vision, corrected, in one eye or with both eyes
- Ability to see and recognize objects close at hand or at a distance
- Ability to match or discriminate between colors
- Ability to determine distance/relationship between objects; depth perception
- Ability to maintain hearing acuity, with correction
- Ability to perform gross motor functions with frequent fine motor movements
- Ability to maintain tactile sensory functions
- Ability to maintain good olfactory sensory function
- Ability to be qualified physically for respirator use, initially and as required
