Job Summary
Produce television newscasts for broadcast and the CTV app by searching wire services, network feeds, and social media for relevant material. Write news stories, present story ideas in editorial meetings, and post updates to the station website and social media sites. Coordinate interviews and guests as the morning show booker while greeting and escorting studio visitors and managing incoming newsroom calls. Edit video and audio on industry-standard equipment, build graphics, and format other newscasts with last-minute changes. Communicate with web staff during breaking news and demonstrate solid news judgment while maintaining journalistic ethics. Work independently under tight deadlines, mentor less experienced staff, and adapt to a fast-paced newsroom environment.

- Demonstrate leadership through training and mentoring less experienced staff members
