Job Summary
Develop and pitch unique enterprise stories daily, then shoot, write, edit, and present compelling narratives solo or with a photographer. Optimize story presentation for each WSMV news platform while participating in daily editorial decisions. This role requires at least two years of multimedia journalism experience, strong live reporting and writing skills, and the ability to shoot and edit on deadline. Candidates must also maintain a clean driving record and hold a four-year college degree. WSMV-TV, an NBC-affiliated station in Nashville, serves Music City and its surrounding communities as part of the Gray TV family.
Required Qualifications
- At least two years of experience as a multimedia journalist
- Excellent live reporting skills
- Strong writing and storytelling skills and editorial judgment
- Ability to shoot and edit on deadline
- Understanding of digital and social platforms
- Clean driving record
- Four-year college degree
