Job Summary
Generate stories with minimal direction, shoot and edit news content, and develop sources daily. Produce daily output across multiple platforms while reporting live from the field on breaking stories. Set up interviews and appointments to gather background for assigned beats. Maintain close communication with the news team, producers, and director while performing additional duties as assigned. This role requires strong live reporting skills, bilingual fluency in English and Spanish, and the ability to work under tight deadlines. You will work flexible hours including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. TelevisaUnivision is the world's leading Spanish-language media company, powering Univision, Las Estrellas, Canal 5, UniMás, and ViX.
Required Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree in journalism
- 1-2 years of reporting experience
- Must be a strong live reporter
- Must work well under time deadlines
- Must be willing to work early morning, morning, evenings, weekends and holidays
- Strong understanding of news gathering ethical and legal issues
- Fluent in English and Spanish (read and write)
- Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United Stated on a full-time basis
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, type and sit for up to (8) hours
