Job Summary
Produce, report, shoot, write, voice, edit, and feed news content for broadcast, web, and social media platforms. Research and analyze background information, gather event details through interviews and attendance, and pitch stories to managers. Arrange interviews, review copy for errors, and organize material by emphasis and format. Shoot and edit news events, revise work for editorial approval, and interact with viewers on social sites. Ensure all content meets journalistic integrity and production quality standards while meeting deadlines and handling multiple tasks. Requires a Bachelor's degree in Broadcast Journalism, English fluency, and a valid driver's license.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Broadcast Journalism, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience
- Fluency in English
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written with the ability to ad lib when required
- Minimum two years' experience in news reporting (Depending on market size)
- Superior on-air presence
- Proficiency with computers, telephones, copiers, scanners, fax machines and other office equipment
- Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Valid driver's license with a good driving record
- Flexibility to work any shift
