Job Summary
Multimedia Journalist with strong writing, research, and editing skills, AP style proficiency, and videography/editing ability to produce news content for GV Wire and other publications. Responsibilities include researching, reporting, interviewing diverse sources, attending conferences/meetings, producing concise copy, creating short fillers and longer feature articles, and uploading content with images and streaming video. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite for video, ability to work under tight deadlines, travel locally within Fresno/Clovis area, and operate photography/video equipment. Requires college degree in journalism or related field and at least 3 years of multimedia journalism experience; valid California driver's license and auto insurance; must be eligible to work in the United States. Occasional evening/weekend work and local travel are possible.
Required Qualifications
- College degree in journalism, political science, or related degree
- Minimum 3 years of multimedia journalism experience
- Demonstrated experience in shooting, writing, editing and on-air presentation skills
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment
- A valid California driver’s license and auto insurance
- Must be eligible to work in the United States
