Job Summary
Lead multimedia content production and editing for breaking news across linear and multiplatform, coordinating with editors, reporters, digital producers, video editors, and social media to develop enterprise, trend, and watchdog stories. Optimize and maximize multimedia resources in a fast-paced newsroom, with strong emphasis on Spanish-language writing and editing. Develop and publish time-sensitive content, identify engaging angles, and collaborate with stakeholders to move beyond basic storytelling. Drive distribution strategies, SEO, and push notifications, monitor digital KPIs, and ensure content aligns with high editorial standards and brand voice across platforms.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years' experience as a journalist
- BA/BS preferred in Journalism/Mass Communications or equivalent experience
- Experience in a newsroom
- Bi-lingual (English and Spanish) required
- Able to make quick decisions and give accurate and clear instructions
- Verify information before publication
- Multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Knowledge of digital trends and audience behaviors
- Flawless verbal and written skills in Spanish and English
- Lively copy writing style
- Knowledge of Latino and Latin American culture
- Excellent web producing skills
- Strong experience with digital narrative
- Flexible with schedules and able to work under strict deadlines
