Job Summary
Translate and facilitate family engagement in a school district, serving as a liaison between the school and families. Responsibilities include written/oral translation, conducting home visits, delivering family workshops, data collection/reports on family engagement, coordinating training for families of students from Pre-K through 12th grade, maintaining open communication with principals and families, and connecting families with community resources. Must demonstrate ability to communicate in more than one language, edit/proofread translated materials, and utilize technology for data entry and reporting. Flexible scheduling including evenings/weekends is required; valid Kentucky driver’s license is needed. Prior experience with students in a school setting preferred.
Required Qualifications
- High school Diploma or higher
- Minimum of 2 years experience providing support to families to enhance student achievement, program management
- Fluency in English and at least one other language as identified by immigrant student population
