Job Summary
Respond to service calls from all departments to diagnose and repair production equipment, prioritizing repairs with leadership direction. Diagnose and replace faulty hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, combustion, and electronic components while performing scheduled preventive maintenance on extrusion presses, furnaces, and casting units. Conduct daily inspections of air compressors, cooling water systems, and extrusion presses to monitor oil levels, filtration, and operational integrity. Install or modify equipment to improve reliability and safety, complete daily work sheets in quarter-hour increments, and maintain a neat work area. This night shift position runs 7pm to 7am with a rotating weekend schedule.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school
- Five or more years of related experience and/or training
- welding competency

- PLC logic components

- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Ability to use measuring devices, rulers, micrometers, etc.
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
- Ability to read maintenance blueprints, hydraulic schematics, ladder diagrams and bill of materials
- Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables
- Must be able to pass pre-employment physical and drug screen
- Must be eligible to work in the United States, visa sponsorships are not available
- Regular attendance required
