Job Summary

Direct and assist the Executive Chef in menu writing, cost control, food production, and presentation while overseeing all catering operations. Manage vendor relationships, purchasing guidelines, and inventory to ensure quality control and efficient service delivery. Direct daily operations to meet financial goals, including managing controllable expenses, generating P&L reports, and participating in monthly reviews. Lead a team of direct and indirect reports through performance management, training, and motivation while maintaining strict safety and sanitation standards. Ensure compliance with contractual requirements and facilitate regular client communication.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience managing daily operations of a multi-unit dining service
  • Ability to meet or exceed financial and operational goals
  • Experience managing client objectives and customer satisfaction
  • Experience with people management and development
  • Ability to create a positive work environment for staff
  • Experience managing annual revenue of $5M
  • Experience directing and/or assisting an Executive Chef in menu writing
  • Experience with cycle of cost control
  • Experience with food production, execution and presentation
  • Ability to ensure quality of all food products and standards
  • Experience overseeing catering operations
  • Experience maintaining vendor relationships
  • Experience monitoring vendor purchasing guidelines

  • Experience with frequent client communication and facilitating monthly/quarterly meetings
  • Experience managing department controllable expenses (P&L) including food costs, labor, supplies, uniforms and equipment
  • Experience with adherence to budgetary guidelines
  • Ability to generate financial reports
