Job Summary
Independently manage cases from intake through resolution, developing legal strategies based on factual investigation and analysis. Draft and review pleadings, motions, briefs, agreements, and security instruments while maintaining substantive communications with courts, clients, financial institutions, and opposing counsel. Appear at hearings and trials as necessary, utilizing strong written and oral advocacy skills to own outcomes from start to finish. Requires a JD from an ABA-accredited law school, three years of substantive experience, and active licensure in two or more states (NC, SC, TN, VA). Fully remote with limited travel for hearings and firm events, working regular Monday–Friday business hours aligned to your U.S. time zone.
Required Qualifications
- Juris Doctor from an ABA-accredited law school
- Minimum of 3 years of substantive legal experience
- Active licensure in two or more listed states
- Strong written and oral advocacy skills
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a remote team
- High level of organization, time management, and personal accountability
- Persistent, resourceful, and proactive problem-solver
- Confidence to own outcomes from start to finish
- Ability to travel for in-person hearings, firm trainings & meetings, and other firm-sponsored events
Desired Qualifications
- Prior experience in Medicaid eligibility and reimbursement
- Prior experience in administrative appeals
- Prior experience in civil litigation
- Prior experience in probate and estate claims
- Prior experience in guardianships
