Job Summary
Operates a line of multiple spindle screw machines after setup has been completed by the setup person and checked, monitors quality of parts, maintains tool log sheets, loads bar-stock, pulls chips, performs all SPC charting as required for a specific job or group of machines, makes adjustments and minor repairs to machines, ensures work area is neat and orderly, follows yellow pan and containment process, adheres to FOD requirements, performs preventive maintenance tasks, wears PPE, participates in continuous improvement activities, and performs other duties as assigned by supervision. This is an hourly, non-exempt role with pay range $20-$26 depending on skill/experience.
Required Qualifications
- Two years previous machine operator experience or successful completion of screw machine operator training program
- Basic math skills, including ability to use micrometers and other measuring devices
- Ability to read and interpret drawings
- Ability to inspect parts, visual acuity
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to stand for long period of time
- Ability to work from a ladder/stairs
- Complete daily operator documentation
