Job Summary
Analyze and interpret complex medical records to identify and accurately bill for services using appropriate ICD-10 and CPT/HCPCS codes. Assign and sequence billing codes in compliance with third-party payor requirements, obtaining clarification when documentation is conflicting or non-specific. Review coding-related denials from payors and make recommendations to resolve claims based on payer guidelines. Requires 2+ years of inpatient/outpatient professional or facility coding experience with CPC, CCS, or CCS-P certification. Full-time role with competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits.
Required Qualifications
- At least 2+ years of inpatient and outpatient professional medical coding experience
- Background coding for multi-specialty practices
- At least 2+ years of relevant facility coding experience
- Specific facility coding experience in Clinics
- Specific facility coding experience in Lab/Radiology
- Specific facility coding experience in ED
- Specific facility coding experience in OBS
- Specific facility coding experience in SDS
- Specific facility coding experience in Inpatient
- Strong preference for injection/infusion experience
- CPC certification
- CCS certification
- CCS-P certification
