Job Summary
As a Casual Multi-Skilled Theatre Technician, you will provide professional, efficient, high-quality technical services for shows, events, functions, and meetings at Middleton Arena, including supporting and supervising on shift, preparing rooms and facilities, and liaising with clients. You will assist the Technical Management Team to deliver technical services, uphold a safe working environment, and act as the technical representative for Your Trust in technical management, operations, production, and health and safety during shifts. Experience with stage lighting design, health and safety procedures, and knowledge of flying and loading systems, along with strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills, are essential. DBS clearance is required for the role.
Required Qualifications
- Qualified to Level 2/3 or equivalent in a relevant subject or qualified by practical experience
- Experience of stage lighting design, setup and control
- Experience of health and safety procedures in relation to stage operations
- Experience of supporting public performances as a technician
- Knowledge of theatre counterweight flying systems and mechanical loading systems
- Proactive and innovative with ability to work without supervision
- Good organisation skills with the ability to work to deadlines
- Good standard of literacy and numeracy
- Excellent communication; both oral and written and excellent interpersonal skills
- Excellent time management skills
- All positions are subject to a DBS Check appropriate to the role
