Job Summary
Provide patient care and administrative support as an experienced healthcare worker. Maintain active licensure as a Certified Nursing Assistant, Emergency Medical Technician, Paramedic, or equivalent military medical specialist. Complete Basic Life Support/CPR certification and undergo background screening through The Florida Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse. Enrolled nursing students must complete the first semester of clinical for ASN/BSN or first trimester for LPN. Obtain a Florida CNA license within 120 days of graduation if hired without prior licensure.
Required Qualifications
- Florida licensure as Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), or Paramedic, or a military Hospital Corpsman, Combat Medic Specialist, or Aerospace Medical Service Specialist
- National licensure as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)
- Nursing students who are eligible for CNA exam must currently be enrolled in an accredited school of Nursing (RN/LPN)
- Nursing students who are eligible for CNA exam must have completed the first semester of clinical for ASN/BSN degree or completion of first trimester for LPN
- Nursing students who are eligible for CNA exam cannot be currently licensed in the U.S. as a RN or LPN
- Patient Care Technician (PCT) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Certification
- Successful completion of a Florida State Board approved program
- Successfully obtain a Florida CNA license within 120 days of graduation
- High School Diploma, GED or Certificate
- Basic Life Support/CPR
- Background screening through The Florida Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse
