Job Summary
Provide patient care and administrative support as an experienced health care worker. Maintain active licensure as a Certified Nursing Assistant, Emergency Medical Technician, Paramedic, or related military specialty, or complete a Florida State Board-approved CNA program within 120 days of graduation. Complete the Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) Crisis Intervention class within one year of hire. Perform duties with minimal supervision while assessing, interacting, and communicating with specific patient populations. Utilize commonly used computer applications and maintain Basic Life Support/CPR certification. Undergo background screening through The Florida Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse as part of the commitment to keeping people safe.
Required Qualifications
- Florida licensure as Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), or Paramedic, or a military Hospital Corpsman, Combat Medic Specialist, or Aerospace Medical Service Specialist
- National licensure as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)
- Patient Care Technician (PCT) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Certification
- Certification of successful completion of a Florida State Board approved program
- Successfully obtain a Florida CNA license within 120 days of graduation
- Completion of Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) Crisis Intervention class within one (1) year of hire/promotion/transfer date
- High School Diploma, GED or Certificate
- Basic Life Support/CPR
