Job Summary
Multi Skilled Operative role in void social housing properties, delivering repairs across carpentry, plumbing, plastering, tiling and more to ensure residents’ homes are safe and functional. Duties include replacing or repairing skirting boards, architraves, and interior doors; installing and adjusting kitchen units and worktops; fixing leaks and plumbing issues; patch plastering and making good walls/ceilings; tiling and decorating to a professional finish; and recording job details using handheld devices. Requires reliable, multi-trade skills, a full UK driving licence, ability to work independently, and participation in out-of-hours emergency rota; contributing to high-quality repairs and customer service within social housing settings.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in domestic repairs and maintenance across multiple trades (e.g. carpentry, plumbing, plastering, tiling, decorating)
- Full UK driving licence
- Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Good understanding of health and safety regulations and safe working practices
- Ability to use handheld devices or job management systems to record work
