Job Summary
Conduct responsive repairs across social housing properties, covering carpentry, plumbing, plastering, tiling, and UPVC work in occupied homes. Replace skirting boards, install kitchen units, fix internal doors, and address minor plumbing issues like leaks and blocked sinks. Perform patch plastering, wall and floor tiling repairs, and painting to a professional finish while maintaining tools and the company vehicle. Participate in an out-of-hours emergency repair rota as required and accurately record job details using handheld devices. Deliver excellent customer service and safely manage daily workloads to meet service targets.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in domestic repairs and maintenance across multiple trades (e.g. UPVC, carpentry, plumbing, plastering, tiling, decorating)
- Full UK driving licence
- Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- Ability to use handheld devices or job management systems to record work
- Willingness to participate in out-of-hours emergency rota
- Good understanding of health and safety regulations and safe working practices
- Entitlement to work within the UK
- Age over 21
- Held licence over 3 months
- Less than 9 points on licence
- Subject to relevant Background, Identity & Security checks
