Job Summary
Conduct day-to-day responsive repairs across occupied social housing properties, specializing in plastering works including patching, skimming, and making good to walls and ceilings. Execute basic domestic plumbing repairs, minor tiling, and locksmith duties while ensuring all finishes are left safe, secure, and ready for decoration. Maintain company vehicles and tools, accurately record completed works via handheld devices, and participate in an out-of-hours emergency call-out rota. Work independently within residents' homes, reporting safeguarding concerns and additional works as required. Full UK driving licence and ability to manage jobs from start to finish are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Full UK driving licence
- Own hand tools
- Proven experience in plastering, including patching, skimming, and making good
- Experience working within domestic or social housing repairs
- Ability to support additional trades alongside plastering works
- Comfortable managing jobs independently from start to finish
- Strong attention to detail with a right-first-time approach
- Professional and customer-focused manner when working in residents' homes
- Good understanding of health & safety
- Confident using handheld devices
- Willingness to join an out-of-hours emergency rota
- Entitlement to work within the UK
- Age over 21
- Held licence over 3 months
- Less than 9 points on licence
