Job Summary
Conduct day-to-day responsive repairs across void social housing properties, replacing skirting boards, installing kitchen units, and fixing minor plumbing issues like leaks and blocked sinks. Perform patch plastering, tiling repairs, painting, and decorating to a professional finish while ensuring safety and efficiency in occupied homes. Participate in an out-of-hours emergency repair rota as required and accurately record job details using handheld devices. Maintain tools, equipment, and the company vehicle in good working order. Manage daily workload to meet service level targets while delivering excellent customer service.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in domestic repairs and maintenance across multiple trades (e.g. carpentry, plumbing, plastering, tiling, decorating)
- Full UK driving licence
- Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- Excellent customer service skills, with experience working in occupied homes
- Good understanding of health and safety regulations and safe working practices
- Ability to use handheld devices or job management systems to record work
- Willingness to participate in out-of-hours emergency rota
- Entitlement to work within the UK
- Age over 21
- Held licence over 3 months
- Less than 9 points on licence
