Job Summary
Carry out day-to-day responsive repairs across social housing properties, including carpentry, plumbing, plastering, and tiling. Replace or repair skirting boards, internal doors, and kitchen units while fixing minor plumbing issues and damaged walls. Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard in occupied properties with sensitivity to residents' needs. Participate in an out-of-hours emergency repair rota as required and deliver excellent customer service while accurately recording job details using handheld devices. Maintain tools, equipment, and the company vehicle in good working order.
Required Qualifications
- NVQ Level 2 in Carpentry
- Excellent communication skills
- Full UK driving license
- Entitlement to work within the UK
- Age over 21
- Held licence over 3 months
- Less than 9 points on licence
- Ability to adapt, problem-solve, and deliver excellent customer service
- Reliable, hardworking, and skilled across multiple trades
- Passion for getting the job done right the first time
- Willingness to participate in out-of-hours emergency repair rota
- Willingness to attend training sessions when required
- Ability to work in occupied properties with sensitivity to residents' needs and privacy
- Ability to accurately record job details, materials used, and completion notes
- Ability to maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicle in good working order
- Ability to manage daily workload efficiently to meet service level targets
