Job Summary
Conduct responsive repairs across void social housing properties, including carpentry, plumbing, plastering, tiling, and decorating. Replace or repair skirting boards, internal doors, and kitchen units while fixing minor plumbing issues and patching damaged walls. Work in occupied properties with sensitivity to residents' needs, adhering to an out-of-hours emergency rota on a rotational basis. Maintain tools, equipment, and the company vehicle, accurately recording job details using handheld devices. Deliver excellent customer service and meet service level targets while working Monday to Friday, 42.5 hours per week.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in repairs and maintenance across multiple trades (e.g. carpentry, plumbing, plastering, tiling, decorating)
- Full UK driving licence
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Excellent communication skills
- Good time management skills
- Entitlement to work within the UK
- Age over 21
- Held licence over 3 months
- Less than 9 points on licence
- Ability to adapt, problem-solve, and deliver excellent customer service
- Reliability
- Passion for getting the job done right the first time
- Ability to work in occupied properties with sensitivity to residents' needs and privacy
- Ability to participate in out-of-hours emergency repair rota on a rotational basis
- Ability to accurately record job details, materials used, and completion notes using handheld devices or job sheets
- Ability to maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicle in good working order
- Ability to manage daily workload efficiently to meet service level targets
Desired Qualifications
