Job Summary
Carry out reactive repairs and planned maintenance (PPM) for building, electrical, and mechanical systems across multiple NHS healthcare sites. Use a handheld PDA to receive jobs, complete risk assessments, and close tasks in real time. Perform weekly emergency lighting, fire alarm, and water temperature testing while participating in an out-of-hours call-out rota for urgent repairs. Maintain a full UK driving licence for this mobile role and ensure all work adheres to strict health and safety standards.
Required Qualifications
- previous relevant experience in the maintenance of buildings
- A recognised electrical qualification such as City & Guilds or NVQ
- solid Health & Safety awareness
- experience of using a handheld device (PDA)
- excellent customer service skills
- passion for providing high quality repairs/planned maintenance
- full UK driving licence
- DBS Disclosure
Desired Qualifications
- experience gained within an NHS environment
- 18th edition wiring regulations
