Job Summary
Operate and perform maintenance on glass furnace-specific equipment (Distributors, Forehearths, Firebox areas) and other industrial systems. Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical systems; complete specialized fabrication tasks including welding and metal fabrication; troubleshoot, repair, and replace VFDs; conduct regulatory inspections and maintain documentation; participate in plant-wide HSE, safety audits, and productivity initiatives; support safety programs (Lockout/Tagout, Confined Space, Hot Work); follow detailed drawings and manuals; work in a manufacturing environment with a 7:30 AM–4:30 PM, Monday–Friday schedule; strong teamwork and communication skills required.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED
- Instrumentation and Electromechanical Technical School Degree, Journeyman Metal Fabrication, or equivalent experience
- 10-15 years of industrial maintenance experience
- Experience with glass furnace maintenance and repairs preferred
- Forklift operation experience or certification preferred
- Certifications in industrial safety (Confined Space Entry, Hot Work, Lockout/Tagout) are a plus
