Job Summary
Permanent role for a Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer in Cardiff (Rumney) responsible for electrical and mechanical maintenance, reactive and preventive plant maintenance, fault finding, circuit-drawing interpretation, and participation in projects to improve production performance, line utilisation and scrap reduction; requires proven experience in a manufacturing environment and qualifications at NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds Level 3 / HNC/HND/ONC in electrical or mechanical disciplines; benefits include salary up to £55,000 (with shift allowance), annual bonus up to 10%, 24 days holiday plus bank holidays, contributory pension, and progression opportunities.
Required Qualifications
- qualification in engineering (HNC/ HND/ ONC/ NVQ Level 3 OR City & Guilds Level 3)
- read circuit drawings/circuit schematics
- experience in manufacturing environment
- ability to perform repairs and maintenance on electrical and mechanical systems
- experience with grinders, lathes, CNC machines and milling machines (beneficial)
- welding and fabrication knowledge
- attention to detail
- Health and Safety compliance
