Job Summary
Carry out mechanical and electrical maintenance across production equipment while responding quickly and safely to machinery breakdowns. Diagnose faults, complete effective root cause analysis, and maximize equipment uptime, reliability, and availability. Complete and continuously improve planned preventative maintenance schedules, support both reactive and proactive activities, and maintain accurate records of work and spare parts. Ensure equipment meets high safety, hygiene, and operational standards while contributing to continuous improvement projects. Work a 4 days on, 4 days off shift from 6am to 6pm.
Required Qualifications
- Time-served apprenticeship or equivalent qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing or production environment
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to prioritise workload and work effectively on your own initiative
Desired Qualifications
- Electrical control panel troubleshooting experience would be an advantage
- Experience working with inverters and PLC systems
- Carrying out effective Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
- Developing and improving PPM programmes
- Experience within FMCG or fresh food manufacturing
