Job Summary
Multi-Skilled Driver role in Bristol responsible for operating a range of vehicles (including 7.5t box vans, cage vehicles, sweepers, HIAB, and winter maintenance gritting) across Bristol. Duties include daily vehicle checks, reporting defects, collecting and removing fly-tipped waste, tipping/loading at approved facilities, adhering to health and safety policies, using mobile IT to complete daily paperwork, maintaining vehicle cleanliness, and providing flexible cover across services and depots. Requires full clean Category C UK driving licence and CPC qualification; strong manual handling skills; ability to work independently, communicate effectively with supervisors and colleagues, and apply health and safety practices; familiarity with Bristol’s roads, depots, and disposal facilities; willingness to participate in winter maintenance training and on-call rota.
