Job Summary
Conduct regular foot patrols across the BID area to monitor activity, deter crime, and address antisocial behaviour, nuisance activity, and environmental hazards like waste and graffiti. Act as the "eyes and ears" of the BID by identifying suspicious activity, reporting incidents to authorities, and referring vulnerable individuals to appropriate agencies. Maintain a visible, uniformed presence while liaising with local businesses, premises, and levy payers to build positive relationships and provide a welcoming ambassadorial service. Accurately record patrols, incidents, and daily activities using electronic reporting systems and collaborate with police and partner agencies to support community safety initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Valid SIA Licence (DS)
- Full 5-year checkable employment history
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
- Flexible and reliable with the ability to work at short notice
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Confident dealing with businesses, local community, and vulnerable persons
- Professional appearance and attitude
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Must be able to travel to Central London
