Job Summary
Coordinate, schedule, and respond to resident and management requests while diagnosing defects and making repairs in accordance with safety standards and code requirements. Inspect grounds, buildings, and community features daily to identify hazardous conditions, manage maintenance supply inventory within budget guidelines, and lead preventative maintenance programs. Supervise, train, and monitor maintenance staff, enforce community policies, and manage key control and unit inspections. Participate in on-call emergencies and provide maintenance support to sister communities as needed.
Required Qualifications
- At least 3 years of multifamily property maintenance experience
- One year of supervisory experience
- Expertise in plumbing, HVAC, appliance repair, electrical, and carpentry work
- Valid Driver's License
- Must be available for on-call and weekend work
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
- Must be able to climb ladders
- Must be able to work in inclement weather
- Must be able to stand and walk frequently
- Must be able to squat, bend, twist, push, and pull
- Must be able to work in an elevated site
- Must be able to walk on uneven ground
- Must be able to read, comprehend, write, perform calculations, and communicate verbally
- Must be able to comply with Fair Housing, Americans with Disabilities Act, and all other laws pertaining to the apartment industry
- Must be able to report to work during inclement weather conditions
