Job Summary
RN travel position providing full range of nursing services to inmates across multiple CorrHealth facilities. Tasks include assessing health problems, initiating medical records, administering prescribed treatments and medications, preparing equipment and rooms for examinations, maintaining IV therapies, and ensuring patient care within correctional settings. The RN may serve as Charge Nurse or Acting Supervisor in the absence of the HSA, delegating tasks to staff as needed. Must hold a current compact RN license and be able to travel weekly to designated sites in CO, NM, TX, and WY; flexibility to work day/night shifts and seven days a week; CPR/AED and TB testing current; strong communication, triage, and emergency procedures knowledge; facility policies and HIPAA compliance required.
Required Qualifications
- Current and unrestricted compact RN license
- Degree or diploma from a professional nursing program
- AED certification
- Willingness to travel weekly
- Experience in correctional healthcare preferred but not required
- Must maintain all certifications/licensing
- Ability to pass background check and pre-employment drug test
- CPR/BLS certification
