Job Summary
Lead the sales and marketing function for two Marriott properties on Hon Thom Island, directing reactive and proactive sales efforts, developing strategic account plans, and managing property-wide marketing campaigns to drive occupancy, catering revenue, and RevPAR. Build and mentor the sales team, partner with regional marketing communications, oversee the marketing budget, and collaborate across sales channels (Area Sales, Group Sales, lead channels) to achieve booking goals and revenue targets. Develop lasting customer relationships through superior service aligned with Marriott brand standards, and coordinate with events, catering, and operations to ensure seamless turnover from sales to on-site delivery. Requires a 2-year or 4-year degree in business-related fields and relevant sales/marketing experience; travel and leadership responsibilities are implied for senior hotel sales leadership.
Required Qualifications
- 2-year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major; 4 years experience in the sales and marketing or related professional area OR 4-year bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major; 2 years experience in the sales and marketing or related professional area
