Job Summary
Set up service outlets and deliver food and beverages to guests while maintaining high standards of quality and customer service. Greet guests courteously, explain menu specials in detail, and ensure tables are properly set before seating. Take orders accurately into the POS system, retrieve items from the kitchen, and monitor guest satisfaction to address feedback immediately. Keep restaurant and work areas clean throughout the shift. This role requires working flexible schedules including nights, days, weekends, and holidays, with the ability to handle stressful situations and guest complaints. You will work in both indoor and outdoor settings across all four seasons, often in environments with loud music. Knowledge of food and beverage operations, including wine, is desired.
Required Qualifications
- 18 years of age or older
- Ability to work well with a large group of people in a team environment
- Ability to work well in stressful, high-pressure situations
- Ability to handle guest complaints and disputes and resolve them to satisfactory results
- Ability to maintain composure and objectivity under pressure
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, days, weekends, and holidays
- Excellent communication and guest relation skills in English
- Ability to listen to, understand and clarify concerns and issues raised by team members and guests
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form
- Normal vision (corrected), hearing and verbal communication
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods
- Ability to reach, kneel, push, pull, carry, lift and move objects 50 lbs. or more
- Normal hearing
- Ability to work in both indoor and outdoor settings
- Ability to work in elements in all four seasons
- Ability to work in environments with loud music
