Job Summary
Conduct pre-trip safety inspections and complete daily Field Level Hazard Assessments for all activities. Maintain equipment in good operating condition, reporting and logging maintenance requirements or concerns. Complete production reporting and other documentation as required. Communicate effectively with team members and operate other heavy equipment if required. Follow all site, company, and client specific safety protocols, policies, and procedures. Work outdoors in various weather conditions, incorporating HS&E concepts into activities. Operate under a 2 week on / 2 week off rotation with 12-hour days, including fly-in / fly-out schedules.
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience operating (Loader, Dozer, Excavator, and Graders) in a road building, mining, and/or industrial setting
- Previous experience with rotational schedules and remote camp life
- Incorporates HS&E concepts into work activities and demonstrates concern for others health & safety (co-workers, clients, and sub trades)
- Capable of working independently in a fast-paced environment with good safety awareness
- Experience with radio communications and protocols
- Must be able to work primarily outdoors in various weather conditions
