Job Summary
Assist teachers with classwork and provide direct care for students with profound disabilities in a sensory-driven environment. Maintain classroom equipment in clean condition, ensure safe physical spaces, and document daily participation records after task completion. Work one-on-one and in groups based on Individualized Education Program (IEP) outlines while attending required in-services and educational functions. This role supports individuals ages 3 through 21 with medical, developmental, and physical disabilities at Marklund Day School in Elgin, IL.
Required Qualifications
- Illinois Paraprofessional Educator license
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to perform the essential functions of the job
