Job Summary
Performs duties for any 2 imaging modalities and operates radiology equipment in the Sylvania Emergency Department & Imaging. Responsibilities include selecting imaging/sequences per protocols, obtaining clinical history, venipuncture and IV access when required, medication/contrast administration, use of a power injector, ensuring patient identification with two identifiers, adhering to radiation safety and protection practices, and on-call availability. Requires competency in multiple modalities (e.g., XR, CT, MRI) and ongoing adherence to regulatory standards. Offers1-year healthcare experience preferred and proficiency with EPIC EHR, PACS, and RIS is desirable. Education pathway includes ARRT-certified/registered credentials or RDMS/CNMT with two modalities to be pursued within 12 months. BLS certification is required. This role emphasizes patient-centered care, teamwork, de-escalation, and accurate data/documentation in imaging workflows.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree from an ARRT-accredited institute or approved Nuclear Medicine Technology program or approved School of Ultrasound/Medical Sonography (preferred)
- Certification and Registration with ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) or RDMS (Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer) or CNMT (Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist) (required)
