Job Summary
Perform high-quality diagnostic imaging procedures in both X-ray and CT modalities, operating equipment safely to produce accurate images for practitioner interpretation. Provide exceptional patient care by explaining procedures clearly, verifying patient information, and ensuring appropriate preparation prior to examinations. Adhere to radiation safety standards and collaborate with physicians to support timely diagnosis and treatment while maintaining competency in all assigned imaging procedures. Work nights with 24 scheduled weekly hours at MUSC Health Emergency and Urgent Care in West Ashley, SC.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited school of radiologic technology
- 2 years minimum experience in diagnostic imaging & CT
- Must be able to produce very high-quality special imaging with little supervision
- Must be able to function effectively in a team-oriented environment
- Must be familiar with age specific criteria
- Must be registered with American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) & South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association (SCRQSA)
- Must be registered in both Radiography (ARRT) (R) & Computed Tomography (ARRT) (C)
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers (or AHA recognized equivalent) or an American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
Desired Qualifications
- Preferred experience in emergency, pediatric, and orthopedic exams in both modalities
