Job Summary
Perform high-quality diagnostic imaging procedures in both X-ray and CT modalities while ensuring patient comfort and safety. Operate imaging equipment safely and efficiently to produce accurate images for interpretation, verifying patient information and explaining procedures clearly to promote cooperation. Adhere to radiation safety standards and collaborate with physicians to support timely patient diagnosis and treatment. Maintain competency in assigned procedures and ensure compliance with regulatory and organizational policies. Requires ARRT registration in Radiography and Computed Tomography, plus South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association registration. Current Basic Life Support certification is mandatory.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited school of radiologic technology
- 2 years minimum experience in diagnostic imaging & CT
- Must be able to produce very high-quality special imaging with little supervision
- Must be able to function effectively in a team-oriented environment
- Must be familiar with age specific criteria
- Must be registered with American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) & South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association (SCRQSA)
- Must be registered in both Radiography (ARRT) (R) & Computed Tomography (ARRT) (C)
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers or an American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
Desired Qualifications
- Preferred experience in emergency, pediatric, and orthopedic exams in both modalities
