Job Summary
Perform high-quality diagnostic imaging procedures in both X-ray and CT modalities, ensuring patient comfort, safety, and accurate image production for practitioner interpretation. Operate equipment safely in accordance with departmental protocols while adhering to radiation safety standards to minimize exposure. Verify patient information, explain procedures clearly, and collaborate with physicians to support timely diagnosis and treatment. Maintain competency in assigned procedures and ensure compliance with regulatory and organizational policies. Requires ARRT registration in Radiography and CT, two years of diagnostic imaging experience, and current BLS certification.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited school of radiologic technology
- 2 years minimum experience in diagnostic imaging & CT
- Must be able to produce very high-quality special imaging with little supervision
- Must be able to function effectively in a team-oriented environment
- Must be familiar with age specific criteria
- Must be registered with American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) & South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association (SCRQSA)
- Must be registered in both Radiography (ARRT) (R) & Computed Tomography (ARRT) (C)
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers or an American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
Desired Qualifications
- Preferred experience in emergency, pediatric, and orthopedic exams in both modalities
