Multi-Modality Specialist (Full-time, Rotating Shift)

Job Summary
Operate x-ray, computed tomography, ultrasound, MRI, nuclear medicine, and mammography equipment while performing at least three modalities on a regular basis. Safely transport patients between gurneys and wheelchairs, test defibrillators, check crash cart integrity, and prepare contrast agents for medical imaging procedures. Conduct mobile imaging examinations as necessary and perform other job-related duties assigned by the department. This full-time rotating shift position is represented by SEIU. Adventist Health Sierra Vista, a Level III NICU and county-designated trauma center, has provided care since 1959. The role is located in San Luis Obispo, with a fifteen-minute drive to Avila Beach.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's Degree in radiologic technology
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy
- Radiologic Tech (RT) in the state of practice
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification
- Must have a current certification in one of the modalities and able to perform duties in at least one other advanced modality
- ARRT-Radiography (ARRT-R)
- ARRT-Computed Tomography (ARRRT-CT) or ARRT-Mammography (ARRT-M) or ARRT-Magnetic Resonance Imaging (ARRT-MRI) or American Registry for Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT) or ARRT-Nuclear Medicine Technology (ARRT-NMT) or State Nuclear Med Tech (SNMT) or ARRT-Sonography (ARRT-S) or American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or CCI Registered Cardiac Sonographer (CCI-RCS) or RTPET
- All required vaccinations

- Master's Degree
- Three years' technical experience
