Job Summary
Conduct x-ray, computed tomography, ultrasound, MRI, nuclear medicine, and mammography examinations, performing at least three modalities competently on a rotating basis. Safely transport and transfer patients between gurneys and wheelchairs, prepare contrast agents for procedures, and perform mobile imaging as needed. Test defibrillators and check crash cart integrity. Requires an Associate's Degree in radiologic technology, current Radiologic Tech license, and ARRT certification in at least one advanced modality. Full-time, rotating shift position at Adventist Health Sierra Vista in San Luis Obispo.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's Degree in radiologic technology
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy
- Radiologic Tech (RT) in the state of practice
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification
- Must have a current certification in one of the modalities and able to perform duties in at least one other advanced modality: Computed Tomography (CT), Mammography(M), Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Nuclear Medicine (NM), Sonography(S) or Positron Emission Tomography (PET)
- ARRT-Radiography (ARRT-R)
- ARRT-Computed Tomography (ARRT-CT) or ARRT-Mammography (ARRT-M) or ARRT-Magnetic Resonance Imaging (ARRT-MRI) or American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT) or ARRT-Nuclear Medicine Technology (ARRT-NMT) or State Nuclear Med Tech (SNMT) or ARRT-Sonography (ARRT-S) or American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or CCI Registered Cardiac Sonographer (CCI-RCS) or RTPET
- All required vaccinations as a condition of employment and annually thereafter, where applicable
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent (some certifications will require Bachelor's)
- Master's Degree
- Three years' technical experience
