Multi-Modality Specialist (Full-time, Rotating Shift)

Job Summary
Operate radiology modalities including X-ray, computed tomography (CT), ultrasound, MRI, nuclear medicine and/or mammography with competency across at least three modalities. Safely transport and transfer patients, inspect life-support equipment (defibrillator, crash cart), and perform mobile imaging as needed. Prepare contrast agents for Medical Imaging procedures and assist the radiology department in meeting operational goals. Must maintain required certifications and licensure (BLS, RT in state of practice, ARRT and modality-specific credentials) and stay compliant with facility policies. This role requires rotating shifts and direct patient care in a hospital setting on the Central California Coast.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's Degree in radiologic technology: Required
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent (some certifications will require Bachelor's): Preferred
- Master's Degree: Preferred
- Three years' technical experience: Preferred
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy: Required
- Radiologic Tech (RT) in the state of practice: Required
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification: Required
- Must have a current certification in one of the modalities and able to perform duties in at least one other advanced modality: Computed Tomography (CT), Mammography(M), Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Nuclear Medicine (NM), Sonography(S) or Positron Emission Tomography (PET): Required
- ARRT-Radiography (ARRT-R): Required
- ARRT-Computed Tomography (ARRT-CT) or ARRT-Mammography (ARRT-M) or ARRT-Magnetic Resonance Imaging (ARRT-MRI) or American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT) or ARRT-Nuclear Medicine Technology (ARRT-NMT) or State Nuclear Med Tech (SNMT) or ARRT-Sonography (ARRT-S) or American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or CCI Registered Cardiac Sonographer (CCI-RCS) or RTPET: Required
